Selena's at Willow Lake Tavern: A Seafood Haven with Cajun Flair in Louisville

Very cute cafe with beautiful outdoor seating. Food was average. the atmosphere was great.

This is a very cute restaurant with beautiful decor. Seating outside during a good weather day is very chill. The gumbo is good, very flavorful. The hash brown casserole is also tasty. The bloody Mary and mimosa are reasonably priced. Portion of the creole omelet is huge. Overall we had a great time here. Would highly recommend it.

Met some very precious friends here for lunch on a Wednesday afternoon. Weather was conducive so we were able to sit outside on the patio. Our young server was attentive, helpful and our food was delicious! We gathered at 11:30a and the last of the stragglers didn't depart until 2:30p. The restaurant lunch rush had calmed and the servers were in no way trying to rush us off! Such a great reunion of friends over lunch! We will return!

We discovered Selena’s at Willow Tavern while in Kentucky for our son’s New Trier hockey tournament — we were traveling from Winnetka on Chicago’s North Shore — and it was such a great find. It’s conveniently located just down the street from the hockey rink, which made it the perfect place for our team families to gather between games. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the service was genuinely friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. As a Winnetka mom who travels often for youth hockey, I always appreciate finding restaurants that make you feel comfortable and taken care of. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in town!

I have a confession… I’ve lived in Anchorage and Middletown most of my life and have never been in. Today was the day! My 10:30 reservation afforded great weather for outside seating AND the privilege of the train going by! The outside seating area is almost as large as inside. The hostess, servers and wait staff were very attentive. My server knew the menu and answered questions well. The inside… since 1979 is a vibe-the bar and sitting area. The menu is not extensive but they do what they do well and the presentation is very good! This is a staple in Anchorage that you don’t want to miss! Go and enjoy

The cajun food was excellent, the service was extremely courteous, and it was an overall fantastic experience for a reasonable price. Highly recommend the étouffée, jambalaya, and bread pudding!

Great service and even better food! Everything we ordered was delicious and high quality. The seafood was especially fresh, the fries were tasty, and the sweet tea hit the spot. The beignets are also good!! Selena is a great place for both brunch and dinner. Definitely a spot worth coming back to!

Selena’s at Willow Lake Tavern is our go-to place for Sunday brunch, the service is consistently excellent and the food is delicious! We love their $2 mimosas & $5 Bloody Mary’s, but the Creole Omelette, French toast and Beignets are amazing too. If you can make it on a Friday, their clam chowder is the best!
